Cookie Policy
The two cookies Taco Bell Menu can set — one for your chosen restaurant, one for staff sign-in. No advertising or analytics cookies.

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. This site uses as few as it can, and there is no consent banner because it sets no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies at all — there is nothing here to consent to.
The cookies this site can set
og_location — your chosen restaurant
- Set when: you choose a restaurant. Never before that.
- Contains: the short name of that restaurant, and nothing else. No identifier, no profile, nothing about you.
- Purpose: to show that restaurant's prices and menu instead of a range.
- Lasts: one year.
- First-party,
SameSite=Lax, and not readable by any other site.
(The name is a leftover from the sibling site this codebase was built from. Renaming it would silently discard every visitor's saved choice, so it stays.)
A session cookie — staff sign-in
Set only inside the private editor area, only for our own staff, and cleared at sign-out. Visitors never receive it.
What this site does not set
No Google Analytics or any other analytics. No advertising or retargeting cookies. No Facebook pixel, no social sharing widgets, no embedded third-party trackers.
Estimating your location uses no cookie
If you have not chosen a restaurant, the site may estimate your nearest one from network-level signals. That estimate is not stored in a cookie and is described in the privacy policy.
Removing them
Switch your selection back to "all restaurants" and the restaurant cookie is deleted immediately. You can also clear cookies for this site in your browser settings at any time; the site works fine without them, and simply shows a price range instead of one restaurant's price.

Frequently Asked Questions
What cookies does Taco Bell Menu set?
Just two, and neither is for advertising or analytics: og_location, which remembers your chosen restaurant, and a session cookie used only inside our private staff editor area. There is no consent banner because there is genuinely nothing here to consent to — no tracking, no third-party scripts, nothing to opt out of.
What is stored in the og_location cookie?
Only the short name of the restaurant you selected — no identifier, no profile, nothing else about you. It is first-party, marked SameSite=Lax, lasts one year, and exists purely so the next page you load shows that restaurant's prices instead of a chain-wide range, without asking you to choose again on every page.
Does the site use Google Analytics or advertising cookies?
No. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising or retargeting cookie, no Facebook pixel, and no embedded third-party social widget or tracker anywhere on the site — the restaurant-choice cookie above is the only one visitors ever receive, and it exists purely to show correct local prices rather than to build a profile of anyone who visits.
How do I clear or remove the restaurant cookie?
Switch your selection back to "all restaurants" and it is deleted immediately, or clear cookies for this site in your browser settings at any time. The site works fine without it — you simply see a chain-wide price range instead of one restaurant's exact price, and can choose a restaurant again whenever you like.
