Privacy Policy

Taco Bell Menu ("the site") is published by EasyMenue. This policy explains what the site does with information about you. It is short because the site does very little.

The short version

• There are no visitor accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter and no contact form.
• We run no advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party social widgets.
• We never sell or share personal information, and we do not build a profile of you or track you across other websites.
• One cookie is set, and only after you choose a restaurant yourself.

What the site processes

Your choice of restaurant

When you pick a restaurant, we store its short name in a first-party cookie so your prices are right on the next page. That is the entire contents of the cookie — no identifier, nothing about you. Details are in the cookie policy.

Your approximate location

Prices are per-restaurant, so if you have not chosen one, the site tries to guess the nearest. It uses, in order: your explicit choice (which is never overridden), approximate coordinates supplied by our content delivery network, or — where configured — a third-party IP-geolocation service. If none of those answers, the site simply shows prices for all restaurants.

Where an IP lookup is used, the result is cached for 24 hours in a file named after a one-way SHA-256 hash of the address. Your IP address itself is not written to that cache and is not stored in our database, and the cached record holds only an approximate city and coordinates. The guess is accurate to roughly a city, never to an address.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard web-server logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser user-agent — as a normal part of serving and securing the site. We do not combine these logs with anything else or use them to identify visitors.

Administrator sign-in

The site has a private editor area for our own staff. It uses a session cookie and is not available to visitors.

Why we are allowed to do this

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies: the restaurant cookie is set on your own explicit instruction and is necessary to deliver what you asked for; location estimation and server logging rest on our legitimate interest in showing correct local prices and in keeping the site running securely. We do not rely on consent for advertising or analytics, because we do neither.

Who else is involved

We do not sell, rent or share personal information. Information necessarily passes through our web host and our content delivery network, and — only if IP lookup is enabled — an IP-geolocation provider, which receives the visiting IP address for that lookup alone.

How long anything is kept

• Restaurant cookie: one year, or until you clear it or switch back to "all restaurants".
• Cached location guess: 24 hours, then overwritten or deleted.
• Server logs: retained by our hosting provider under their own schedule.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to admin@easymenue.com and we will act on it.

In practice we hold almost nothing that identifies you, so we will usually be unable to locate any record tied to you — the honest answer to an access request here is normally "we hold nothing", and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

California residents

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in the CCPA/CPRA. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose requiring a right to limit.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

The site does not track visitors across other websites, so there is no cross-site tracking for these signals to switch off.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
